Connect-Parent.com - Your Parenting Resource

Welcome to connect-parent.com! Parents -- this is YOUR space! A place for you to connect with other parents and share information and ideas with each other. A place for you to find tips on parenting, parenting resources, and advice from other parents -- who have been where you are now. We have also included resources from state and government agencies as well as non profit groups. We ask that as you check out our resources pages if you have something to add, a useful site or link -- go ahead and add it! We want to share as much parenting information as we can. Parenting is a tough job. If you have a problem, you shouldn't have to hunt to get help. We want to be a one stop, consolidated resource for parents, and getting parents to connect with each other, is one way to start!

We also feature blogs and forum pages. It is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas with others. Do you have a successful potty training technique that you would want to pass along to others? Or how about a great parenting tip on how to keep kids active and away from video games? Feel free to express your thoughts on these pages. We want to collect as much information as we can to help as many parents as we can.

We have also included some information on local businesses who cater to parents and families. Whenever possible, please show your support for these businesses and let them know you found them on connect-parent.com.

Have fun on our site and if you have any comments or suggestions, contact us! We would love to hear from you.

Connecticut Christian Academy - Vision 2007

Perception is in the eye of the beholder. Vision is created with the eyes open or closed. The dictionary defines "vision" as a thought, concept, or object formed by the imagination. This tells the story of how "Vision 2007" came to be.

For the past 27 years, children in the Middletown, CT area have been blessed to have the opportunity to attend Fellowship Christian Academy (FCA), a faith-based Christian school offering grades Preschool through 8th grade, owned and operated by Fellowship Church. In the Fall of 2006, the founding Pastor announced his plans for retirement.

Stevens, author of the new book Luisa's Nature.

How Yoga Saved Me

By Anne Falkowski

I have been practicing yoga for more than 10 years. My life is busy and often chaotic. I run two yoga studios and have 3 children under the age of 12. Finding a quiet hour in my day to focus on my yoga practice is not easy. There is always more to do-another load of laundry, answer another email, return another call. Like many mothers, the more demanding my life gets, the easier it is to drop my own needs in order to take care of others. Yet, through the years, I have learned not to drop my own yoga practice. It is the refuge I seek when things are overwhelming or falling apart. Sometimes, things do fall apart. Every day.
